Guestly takes data deletion seriously. This page explains how you, or anyone whose data you have shared with us, can request that we delete information we hold.
Delete your account from settings
The fastest path: sign in to Guestly, go to Settings → Account, and choose Delete account. We will permanently remove your events, guest lists, invites, check-in records, staff records, and profile within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when the deletion completes.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, or you are a guest whose information was uploaded by an organizer, email hello@useguestly.com from the address tied to the data you want deleted, with the subject line “Data deletion request.” Include:
- The email address (or phone number) tied to your record.
- If you are a guest of someone else’s event, the event name or organizer’s name if you know it.
- Any other detail that helps us locate your record.
We will confirm receipt within two business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation when we are done.
Facebook Login data
If you signed in with Facebook and want to revoke access without deleting your Guestly account:
- Open Facebook → Settings & Privacy → Settings.
- Under Apps and Websites, find Guestly and click Remove.
That action revokes Guestly’s access to your Facebook profile. It does not delete the Guestly account itself — to also delete your Guestly account and the data we have, follow one of the steps above.
What we retain
After a deletion request, we may retain limited information to comply with legal obligations (such as tax records and dispute resolution), prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our terms. Retained records are kept only as long as necessary and are not used for any other purpose.
